S.H.O.T. Attendees to get First Look at New Case Desk Knife (’17-3)

Bradford, PA (January 15, 2009) – W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company, a company that’s best known for its traditional folding pocket knives, enters this year’s S.H.O.T. Show with the Case Desk Knife (’17-3), a unique new office accessory that’s made to outperform and outshine the traditional letter opener.  Case will offer the Desk Knife in Genuine Mother-of-Pearl and Rogers Jigged Tested Red Bone handle styles beginning May of 2009.

The Case Desk Knife’s product features are as impressive as its hand finished design.  The Wharncliffe blade is just the right shape for slipping into tight spots and cutting through mail pieces, box straps, and the like. The flat taper ground blade is made of tough 154-CM steel, a metal known for its ease of sharpening and superior edge holding ability. The ergonomic design provides added comfort and ease of use. This 6” overall, 1.7 oz. Desk Knife comes complete with a handsome fitted leather sheath so it won’t get lost in the desktop shuffle.

Tom Arrowsmith, President and Chief Executive Officer of W.R. Case & Sons, remarks, “Our new Desk Knife is a well-balanced concept. It’s built for everyday use, yet is the perfect desk accessory for any home office or other work space.  We think consumers will find the Case Desk Knife an exceptional gift idea for almost any special occasion.”

Look for the new Case Desk Knife in Genuine Mother of Pearl and Rogers Jigged Tested Red Bone starting May, 2009.  Other variations will be available in fall.
