The folks at W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company are once again setting aside a weekend to treat knife enthusiasts and our local community to another unforgettable experience – Case style! This is the perfect way to say thank you to some of our most enthused supporters, while Case aficionados and fans from all walks of life come together to buy, sell, swap, and share prized collectables. The event will give us all a chance to greet old friends, meet some new ones, and share stories about Case knife collecting. This year the event will be held on the grounds of the Zippo/Case Museum on Saturday, July 23rd.

We look forward to this opportunity to express our appreciation for your commitment to our company and the Case brand. Let’s get ready to share a weekend of fun and excitement!

Look At What We've Got Planned For You!

The Collector Knife Swap Tents will be filled with Case knives, old and new. Guests can get a firsthand look at some unique collectables while talking to our knowledgeable staff about what to look for when buying a knife. Bring along your own prized Case knives to see what their value might be and you might even find a fellow collector who’s looking to buy. The Knife Swap Exhibitor Tent will be open to the general public on Saturday, July 23rd.

Going once! Going twice! SOLD! Pre-registered auction guests are invited to participate in the Grand Collectors Dinner & Auction hosted on Friday, July 22nd at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford, inside the Frame-Westerberg Commons Building. Guests can bid on a variety of items and take home unique one-of-a-kind knives. We will begin accepting bids on twelve (12) silent auction items at 4:30 pm. The live auction begins at 7:00 pm where fifteen (15) items are introduced from the auction block. The auction promises to be fast and furious! A mouth-watering meal will be served prior to the live auction. Guests must pre-pay for dinner. Reservations are no longer being taken at this time.

Come paint with us and explore your creative side! We are excited to introduce a new event to our weekend as local artist Allison Ambrose shares step by step instructions on how to paint the featured Case Canoe work-of-art. Her patience and skill will take the intimidation out of painting. This class is for the beginner and no experience is necessary. We provide the canvas, paint, brushes, and lots of encouragement. We invite you to sit down, relax, and follow her lead as a piece of art becomes reality. Participants will take home their very own masterpiece worthy of being hung up at home or in the office or maybe gifted to someone special. This class is offered at no charge.

Some very special Case Ambassadors will be joining us as part of our Club’s 35th Anniversary celebration’s Moments in Time Case Storytelling event. First up are two very special Case retirees, Erica Runyan and past company Historian Shirley Boser, who will be sharing their stories about the fun they had while working together throughout the decades from Russell Boulevard to Owens Way. The modest and talented Model Maker, Mike DuBois, will be by their side to add his own version of the Case work experience. If you like to hear a good story, you won’t want to miss this!

If you pre-registered for one of the Limited Edition Canoe knives, you will need to present the previously mailed out ticket and photo I.D. when picking up your knife at the Zippo/Case Museum. As a reminder, these knives will not be shipped.

Pre-ordered knives can be picked up and paid for at the Zippo/Case Museum beginning Thursday, July 21st.

Some things are a natural fit. In our world of knives, Tony Bose and W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company are just that. Renowned custom knife maker Tony Bose will demonstrate his skills to show what goes into making a truly custom made knife. Tony travels all the way from Shelburn, Indiana, to share his entertaining and enlightening presentation. This is one you won’t want to miss!

Tony Bose fashioned his first knife in 1972 from a power hack saw blade he received from a friend. He’d work to perfect his skills for years before pursuing a full-time custom knifemaking career in 1990. Tony’s impact was quickly felt across the industry, winning Best Folding Knife Award for the 1995 East Coast Custom Knife Show and the 1995 Blade Show with his own five-bladed Stockman designs.

Case employees have had the pleasure of working with Tony since 1999 with the introduction of the Case Bose collaboration series. These Limited Production knives allow collectors the opportunity to have a knife similar to a Tony Bose custom knife without the wait or the cost. This fall, Case will introduce the eighteenth knife in this series. Case is pleased to highlight Case Ambassador Tony Bose and each of the collectable knives found in this series through a unique set of trading cards.

The search is on as collectors look for nineteen different trading cards that will be handed out throughout the day on Friday, July 22nd and Saturday, July 23rd.
Hint: Tony Bose and each Reunion EVENT SPONSOR will have one to give away.

Case Artisans will skillfully transform your knife into one that looks and performs as though it was just taken out of the box. Stop by and say hello to these amazing folks, who are thrilled to be celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the CCC® with dedicated Club members.

Your collection is priceless in your eyes, but how much are those pieces worth to potential buyers in today’s market? Be sure to see Tony Foster, a knife collector and a leading expert on Case knives from Wando, South Carolina, who will be on hand to appraise your knives. Tony has diligently studied all aspects of Case knives and has been a trusted resource of information to the Case Company through the years. It is our pleasure to once again welcome Tony back to Bradford to share in this special event.

Case fans of all ages are welcome to join us in this educational, hands-on experience that teaches participants about knife pattern names and numbers, the various parts of a Case pocketknife, and our many different handle materials using fun games and activities designed for the whole family. The first pre-registered students (aged 6-16) who complete the Junior Academy session will receive a brand new Case knife (parental permission required). Sign up today at (814) 368-2926!
