Collection will include knives celebrating Duke’s 100th
Bradford, PA (February 5, 2007) - Wayne Enterprises and W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company are pleased to announce a new license agreement for John Wayne knives. The new John Wayne knife collection by Case will include limited edition and commemorative products honoring Duke, and will feature rugged, timeless and classic designs.
“We are so pleased to be partnering with Case on official John Wayne knives. My dad loved the outdoors – from cruising the Pacific Northwest on the “Wild Goose” to raising Hereford cattle at his 26 Bar Ranch in Arizona – and he knew the importance of a reliable tool. With Case’s reputation for American craftsmanship, commitment to quality, and its long history of creating premium products, there will be something for both John Wayne fans and Case collectors with these new John Wayne products,” said Ethan Wayne, managing member of Wayne Enterprises.
“John Wayne’s popularity around the world is rivaled by few others in American history. We are proud that Wayne Enterprises has chosen Case to produce knives commemorating this American icon,” says Tom Arrowsmith, President and Chief Executive Officer of W.R. Case and Sons Cutlery Company.
As part of the new collection, special knife items commemorating John Wayne’s 100th Birthday (1907-2007) also will be available in 2007.
