Hello Case fans,
Mike and I are back from our Tuscumbia, AL trip and we were surprised at how busy we were there. It was a great turn out. They kept us honing, buffing and engraving all day. I just want to say thank you to all the people for their patience waiting to get their knives engraved. Sometimes, as some of you know, the engraver has a mind of its own. I would like to say "Hello" to Karen, who I got a chance to meet down there. She was there from beginning to end, asking questions and getting her knives done. I had the honor of engraving her Daddy's initals on a knife that belonged to him. He recently passed on. It made the trip worth the while. Karen and her sister, Leanne both signed up to be new members of the Case Collectors Club. They are very excited to learn all they can about our hand crafted knives.
Well, it's winter here now. My family and I live on top of a hill and we have 3 inches of snow today. The south is looking even better to us now. I hope to see some of you again on the next years Artisan tours.
Bye for now.
Chris Cole

Ive just read what chris cole wrote, magnifecent! I just wanted to pass on some informatin as a former case employee. Ive recently put my old skills to good use. Ive been honing my pocket knife on a belt sander and its been turning out so sharp that now ive become famous in some sense I guess.People bring their dull blades to me and wonder where and how I started sharpining kinves on a belt sander. They all use stones. mine just works better I guess. So i tell them how i got this crazy idea as a former case employee. They usually know what a case knife is,but sometimes Ive got to link it to zippo. Im board and thought id send this useless info to who ever reads this stuff.

Well I was there at Tuscumbia also and I'd like to thank both Chris and Mike for their hard work. These are pretty special folks that Case sends out on the road. To be inserted into unfamiliar surroundings (with sometimes finicky hardware :o) ), to chat and converse with strangers and all the time making their specialty/trade/art look like its a piece of cake with knives that might be irreplaceable- is something I really admire. If I didn't mean this, I (and a whole bunch of other folks) wouldn't keep coming back! Case XX, I appreciate the unmatched corporate outreach.
