Dale Clark
Completion Team Developer
Dale Clark’s career at Case started on July 13, 1966 as a Front Edger, smoothing covers and removing excess material. Later he became a Cutler in the Model Shop and Repair Center, where he made salesmen’s samples, performed product repairs, and made commemorative knives for retiring Case Associates. Dale made and hand-signed about 40 of these. The last was for George Deming’s initial retirement (George eventually retired again after amassing nearly 49 years of service). After this, Dale worked as Manufacturing Superintendent, and now works as Completion Team Developer. Dale enjoys passing on his knowledge and experience with other Associates. “Life is not worth living unless you’ve learned something, or taught someone something you’ve learned,” he says.
Dale also notes that he “couldn’t have worked for a better organization than Case. It has a family atmosphere where people care about one another.” The recent passing of Co-Associate George Deming serves as a vivid reminder of this philosophy for Dale. “As the funeral procession passed by, all 350 Case Associates were in the front lawn to pay their last respects. No other company would do this for a worker.”
