Ralph Banks
Hand Grinding
Ralph Banks began his tenure at Case on February 23, 1966. He worked in hand grinding for 23 years, and ran the polishing bowls for eight. Ralph’s credo is: “if he can do it, so can I.” This philosophy has enabled Ralph to become one of our most talented Associates. From swedging to buffing to repairs, Ralph Banks has carried on the traditional hand crafting skills from Case artisans of past generations. Most of the Case knives in Ralph’s collection are used as everyday tools. Others hold real sentimental value for Ralph. One of Ralph’s most prized pieces is a Medium Stockman pattern, which was customized by some of his close friends at Case.
